PSI/CATS Testing

Due to FAA changes, the MacAir Testing Center will not be scheduling tests January 11 thru January 24, 2020.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.

MacAir Aviation serves as a Computer Assisted Testing Service (CATS) site, which allows you to conveniently take the FAA Airman Knowledge Test (written exam) at our location.

 

Test Registration

To register for the FAA Airman Knowledge Test:

 

  • Contact MacAir Aviation as outlined below (red box) to discuss available times to take the exam.  We are normally available Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
     

  • After scheduling your test, registration and payment for the Airman Knowledge Test will be done online prior to test administration on your scheduled test day.

 

Test Day

On the day of the test, you will need to bring:
 

  • Valid ID that includes your photo, date of birth, signature and physical (residential) address.
     

    • U.S. citizens and resident aliens should bring one of the following:
       

      • Driver permit or license issued by U.S. state or territory

      • U.S. government ID card

      • Passport

      • Alien residency card
         

    • Non-U.S. citizens need:
       

      • Passport

      • Driver permit or license issued by U.S. state or territory or ID card issued by any government entity.
         

  • Appropriate authorization to take the test. Visit the CATS website or contact Ann Finlaw (contact information below) concerning the documentation required.

  • If retaking test, please have available your original passing, failed, or expired Airman Knowledge Test Report. 

  • Bring your credit card as we can't accept cash or check due to online payment.

  • Plotter.

  • E6B (manual or electronic, no memory).

 

MacAir Aviation will provide the following materials for the test:
 

  • Calculator

  • Pens and pencils

  • Scrap paper

  • Test supplement book

  • Plastic overlay, marker, and wet and dry overlay cleaning cloths

Testing Hours

The CATS testing hours at MacAir Aviation are by appointment only. To schedule a test time, please contact us as outlined in the red box below.

 

The testing center is closed on:

  • New Year’s Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Day After Thanksgiving 

  • Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Day
